Frequently Asked Questions
What is the connection between military service and mental health issues?
Military service can often lead to various mental health challenges. The nature of the job exposes personnel to traumatic situations that are difficult to process. Beyond PTSD, military members face heightened risks of conditions like anger issues, anxiety, and moral injury.
Why is mental health in the armed forces important?
Looking after your mental health as a veteran is vital for your well-being, overall quality of life, and for your family. It's crucial to have access to essential mental health support after your service to help you cope with your experiences in the forces.
Why choose an ex-military therapist?
Mac, who himself is ex-army, brings an understanding of the challenges faced by military personnel and veterans. He's been through the training, the drills, the raggings, and has successfully made the transition to civilian life, including navigating the medical discharge process. Mac understands military life and, as a trained therapist, is here to support you.
